film overview

The screenplay opens with a car chase followed by a hit and run accident. Later, Henry Willliams is seen chatting online with an imposter posing as the celebrity Forrest Livesay, a well-known British actor. While chatting, Henry learns from his Aunt Joy that his Aunt Ruth has been killed in a vehicular accident. This news triggers a flashback of Henry’s childhood trauma by his grandmother, Lucy Hardy, and mother to Ruth and Joy. The flashback foreshadows the lingering effect of trauma over everything that Henry experiences. Henry believes his savior from his never-ending emotional abuse is his celebrity bestie, Forrest Livesay, whom he desperately seeks to connect with.
