Luca Venditto, a down-on-his-luck filmmaker drowning in student debt from film school, scrapes by working in a restaurant to make ends meet. One ordinary afternoon, while clearing tables, he encounters an unusual guest—a lawyer-looking man in a stark black suit, exuding an eerie presence. As Luca reaches for the plates, the man commands him to sit, calmly revealing that today is the day scheduled, or more commonly known as “destined”, for Luca to die.

Maxwell Wang is a high school filmmaker/screenwriter who believes life is too short for predictable stories. Currently studying at Interlochen Arts Academy, Maxwell has been deeply involved in student thesis and capstone projects, taking on roles ranging from grip to Director of Photography, boom operator to Assistant Director. Maxwell’s storytelling approach blends technical expertise with a passion for dark humor, surreal twists, and just the right amount of controlled chaos to keep audiences intrigued.
