Based on true events “Grandpa’s Got a Brand New Pill,” is singer-songwriter Jeffrey George Moline’s ode to the grand tradition of the comical country songs of his youth, as performed by his alter ego Queer Country Superstar Awesome Lee Bodacious. It tells the story of Tooty, a headstrong, defiant and crafty senior about to celebrate her 96th birthday, determined to live life on her own terms and celebrate her birthday the way she wants.

Straight out of Karlstad, Sweden, Jacob McCaslin arrived in the US as a child and quickly discovered an inherent passion for music and film. As his parents struggled to find their footing in the US, they constantly found themselves moving state to state, city to city which marked Jacob’s childhood with the challenge of forging friendships, though Jacob did find solace and expression through his loyal companions—ADHD and OCD.
